Unisex Fragrance

Throughout time as fragrances have become more and more popular we have become self conscious about the scent we are wearing which more than likely is dependent on where we are going or what we are doing. For some people perfumes and fragrances are an important part of their self image. We pay great attention when choosing a fragrance or a perfume and we all subconsciously feel the difference between female and male fragrances. Not so long ago unisex fragrances were introduced.

Unisex fragrances are made so that both genders could use it. The scent is so delicate that smelling a man you wouldn’t even consider that the same scent could be used by a woman and vice versa. These unisex fragrances are popular but not as well known as the perfumes that are made specifically for women and men.

Taking a closer look at unisex fragrances and understanding the purpose behind them maybe a point to consider when you’re shopping for a new fragrance. A common mindset is that there are fragrances that are made specifically for men and vice versa and that’s all there is to it. This is not the case. The purpose of a unisex fragrance is to create a scent that would smell nice and is both feminine and masculine at the same time. These unisex fragrances are more neutral and less noticeable so the chances of irritating the noses are lower. Another point to consider, the chances of encountering someone form the opposite gender wearing the same unisex fragrance is slim and if that does happen you would probably not smell the same. We need to remember that when wearing perfume, the scent of the perfume mixes with your natural body scents hence this can alter the original perfume scent.

Although many people are still afraid of using unisex perfume, there’s definitely nothing to be afraid of. Don’t be afraid of trying something new. We sometimes avoid a fragrance we like only because the label says it’s unisex. Everyone is different, whether you are a man or a woman, you body will add its own unique scent to it.
